Default 2004 Z400 question

The reason why i know alot about a z is because when i like a quad i do alot of research like polaris sportsmans/ when i was into going slow with that quad. now if i were to go buy one i would do alot of research to make sure im goin to get the best out of the quad and is worht the money and the z is worth it . plus my friend has a z and i know how well it performs and i did alot of comparisons to it.. okay z butcher.. Like what do you mean by setting up?? trails, mudd, sand what?? there are different ways also my friend lets me adjust it for him since i have the adjusting tools. with the 4ft of mudd thing of cource it cant but it still can go through deep mudd it was just an egzgeration it can go through i think like 1 1/2 ft of mudd if not less. a sport quad will never be able to go deep mudden or rock crawl or go through deep snow but a utilaty will never jump twenty ft in the air unless your evail knevail or with out breaking. they will never reach high speeds. so maybe i do get some things wrong. yes i do read but its because i like quads /sport any ways... were did the years come from?? when the z 400 first came out it had a frame prob but thats fixed but when a new year comes out they do little to change look at the 400 ex little done and is still the quad everybody still enjoys..

Default 2004 Z400 question

It all depends on how you like to ride!! I would prefer for snow the highest setting/ so you can get as much hight as possiable. and lower the air for better traction unless you want to spinout and do donuts. for trails also depends on you.. but i would set it on either the third or fifth setting according to the rider! for sand i wouldnt know pennsylvannia dosent have much sand but there is a place by me but its contaminated sand real tacky good for draggin.. i would set it up for a soft ride that can absorb and flex but i dont really know!! its garbage sand mixed with rocks and garbage.. Besides i wouldnt tell him i would help him set it up if i didnt know how to!! now are you convinced.. i know my stuff you proboly know more because you have one.... Now a i have a q for you whats the best power gain?? Ill give you a list of my frineds upgrades!! Hmf pipe, stage 3 bore kit, and hes runnin high high octaine,, i only know basic stuff on it oh and my other friend said theres a piston that adds somthin like 100hp or 200hp is that true??? Then again i only know the stock z with some modds in and out of it.. Give me an email nitrusz400@yahoo.com so we can talk and trade info on quads k

Oh how I wish.....

A GN is a Buick Grand National. With the exception of a ZR1 & Z06 it's the best car GM has built since 1973. (Pontiac Super Duty 455).

Those Buicks are awesome & look so menacing in all black. Ever see a 1987 GNX? One bad dude.

Default 2004 Z400 question

2slick4u,

I just bought a 04' Z400 a month ago. I took it through huge mud puddles...I'm talking like 40 to 50 ft long. and at least 1 and a half feet deep. I had a blast. I never got stuck!!! At first I was hitting this mud at pretty high speeds to get through it, because I wasnt sure what it could do. But then I got brave and I was doing donuts in the MUD 1.5ft deep!!!! I am so impressed with the z400. So far I've only got stuck (hung up)1 time. That was from coming to a dead stop between VERY deep ruts made from logging trucks. But that was my own stupid fault. Go with the Z!

The Z has the speed too!! I ride on fairly tight trails, but I've only had it in 5th gear 3 times since I bought the bike.
