i was wondering is the only difference between a quadrunner and the king quad engine size and bigger frame is the tranie the same, does the king offer diff lock and high low and super low like the runner also can you jump the king i know you can jump a runner my cousin has a 98 quad runner and i really like it.
is the king just like the artic cats 300 4x4 my friend has one and we went riding this evening and we were riding in a area with lots of rocks and gravel and there was lots of mud and a creek and a bunch of trails well he was riding a artic cat 300 4x4 and i was riding my mojave 110 and he was going through the creek and through all the mud and he was haveing a harder time getting through the stuff than i was and myne is a 2wd he couldent get up most of the hills as good as i could.
i wonder why and even my tires are almost bald.
also can you ride in very deep water with the king quad.
thanks

Blasterguy, I'm not sure if I understand what you're looking for. You say, your cousin has a Quad Runner which has diff. lock? I don't think it comes that way but maybe your cousin did some alterations that I should learn about. Yes the King Quad does come with diff. lock but only in "Super Low Gear".
I'm told by some seasoned riders that there are only two ATV Manufacturers that have diff. lock. Suzuki and Polaris. Your buddy that has the Cat 4x4, couldn't touch what the "four wheel lock" vehicles go thru due to not having this feature. So if four wheel locking is what you want, investigate those two, above mentioned suppliers. If you want power, speed, comfort, you should spend a lot of time looking around at all the manufacturers. It's a investment with no return, except, you get to enjoy.

i've been studying the same quads to look at in the future possibly.and yes the king quad has the same gears etc. that the quadrunner 250 4x4 has.like high-low-super low ranges and 2wd-4wd-and true differetial lock 4wd.the rest is the same except engine size, shock travels, and front tire sizes those are the differences.do you know the top speed on the quadrunner 250 4x4?i know the king will do around 46 or a little more on average in high range.

you might not believe me but the speedometer says it will do 60mph i don't know about 60 but i know it will do 50mph because we had it going that fast down the road in high and 2wd i wouldent want to go much faster than that.

Mine is a Canadian 300KQ and the speedo reads 90km/h and then one notch past that. I can bury the needle and on level ground it will keep increasing very slowly. 90km/h is about 55mph, so I would guess that when it is going over the last notch it must be hitting 60mph, or close to it. I
have stock tires and this thing has 7700kms, or about 4600 miles on it and the engine has never been touched other then regular maitenance. I have had it at 50mph, or 80km/h with two people om it! I find it to be a bit better with more air in the tires as well. It sure makes the 500cc boys look though! If they would just make a 500KQ!!! Þ
