Default minimum octane I should run

I was just wondering what I should run for gas. I have stock compression/piston. But I have a hotcam intake cam and a dynatek CDI. It says to run a minimum of 95 octane for just the cam. any idea's?

I would run 95....but to get the most out of that cam you should bump up that compression up in the future. An over-kill on the Octane is better than an underkill

With stock compression, you'll be fine on 91/92. When you bump up compression, is when you need to use higher octane
