If it hasnt been leaking long, you can top up the nitrogen. Sometimes as the nitrogen leaks out, the seal will relax and allow oil leakage.

If its been leaking for more than say a week, and offers no damping, get it rebuilt.

Default lt250r shock help

I have removed the res line at the shock and filled it there with 8wt shock oil. I just filled it full worked the air out by moving the shock shaft in/out and put it back together then charged it with nitrogen(my parents own a refridgeration company and use nitrogen to test systems for leaks). I think it was 12lbs of nitrogen but I'm not sure cause it was about 4 years ago and I have had my shock rebuilt since by pro action( only $100 for seals/oil/recharge). The Nitrogen leaked out but the oil lasted a whole summer.

Turnaround for a shock rebuild at the begining of the season is about 3 weeks thats why I "fixed" mine myself and waited for winter to send it out.
