Default Air Box Mods - What have you done?

Ok What are the mods that can be done to an airbox? Some people remove it, but won't you take in water? Some people Drill holes, but won't you take in water? do i have to rejet? And whats an outerwear?

Default Air Box Mods - What have you done?

I removed the lid and snorkel on mine. yes you do have to rejet when you do this. On outerwears is a water repellent cover that you can buy for your airfilter and there are some places that have an outerwears airbox lid. They have it on the alba website. http://alba.buyol.com/Item/AIRBOX-CVR.htm

Default Air Box Mods - What have you done?

check out E.H.S. Racing ; they have a good product which does not screw up the airbox itself allowing for you to return to original (stock)

i remove mines completely...toomey 2 into 1, i hate that dam air box, everytime i need to rejet to take it off i must remove one of my cpi pipes.....so i fixed that problem by removing it completely, my bike is ilergic to water though, but thats ok, when i want to ride the mud i use my warrior....or 400 ex

ok,
So you Remove the airbox cover, and put on an Outerwear over the Air filter? Also remove the snorkle? What does that do? I would think you would want to keep that to help divert the air into the box.
