WOW!! I can see that kinda response from Recon, but Trailrider, that surprises me! Very nice!!

The Z ain't the fastest out there but it can hold it's own pretty well. Excellent all around quad....

Hey Recon, were you able to talk to the suspension guy I told you about awhile ago? Just curious if anything came of it..........

I own a z 400 and a friend of mine bought a yamaha 450 we have traded for the day when we went riding he said if he would have riden a z 400 first he would have bought it. but to me it all depends on what kind of riding you do if you are on the trails and hitting ditchs a lot z 400 if you on the track yfz 450 thats all the yamaha is good for is the track it is a very fast machine but doesnt handle the trails like the z 400

I was debating between the Z400 and the Raptor. I chose the Z400 and haven't regretted it since. It's a great, smooth ride quad. The seat is super cushy. It handles the bumps with ease. The reverse is extremely easy to use. It has plenty of power also. I went and bought a used 2003. I saved $2,000. I got it from an older guy that only drove it around his yard. It's in excellent shape and I was able to buy some aftermarket parts with the money I saved. It really doesn't need any aftermarket parts on it though. I bought billet parts and an Alba graphics kit and nerf bars. Mostly stuff to dress it up. The only downfall I can see to the Z400 is the big quadzilla swingarm. It doesn't seem to make a difference when riding though. I just love my Z!
