Default Z400 HELP water in Motor

A friend and I went riding on Saturday and he got water in the Motor of his Z400. Sucked it in thru the exhaust. We drained the oil and we think we got all of the water out of the exhaust (Couldn't get the header pipe out). We alse should we do? Thanks

Keep changing the oil until there are no signs of water. I have seen myself have to change the oil 10-15 times on my old honda 350 before there was no signs of water.

Default Z400 HELP water in Motor

Dude, i have submereged my z-400 once, when i was jumping out of a huge drainege pipe at badlands in indiana. I jumped out of the wrong pipe into a 4 foot section of water, completely submereging me and the quad. I had my buddy there to help me push it out, i must say i think those quads float i little bit because of the tires. But when i got it out i opened the airbox and water was filled to the brim. I tipped my quad veritcal let the water drain out, superisingly i got it to start a half hour later. At firts i didnt do anything when i tried to start it. But the conclusion is that i changed the oil and it ran fine.
