Pull the choke and see what happens. If it wants to idle better, the pilot is too lean, if its worse, the pilot is rich.

hey needaR. so is that motor holding together without the thrust washers? just curios. try adjusting the cable on handlebars by the twistgrip if you have one.

it seems to idle better with the choke on but still dosnt.it idles when im riding like when i pull in the clutch but if i just let it set for 10-15 seconds it will die.i think i just need to tinker witht the air screw and idle adjustment more.i read somewhere that the Kehin PJ carbs are notorious for not idleing good.

Billqdracer the quad is holding up fine without the thrust washers.i havnt had any major problems besidse with gaskets.other than that the thing pulls hard and runs great.my powervalve wasnt opening all the way until yesterday.it started working great.now the thing really hits the powerband hard.comes up in third with a tug and a snap of the throttle. Did youre porting make a good difference?im thinking about getting some done when mine blows next time.

If it idles better with the choke on once it has fully warmed up, trying going to the next biggest pilot, then dial in with the air screw.
