i have a 86 230s i rebuild the entire motor the only thing i didnt touch was the stator. it ran fine for like 3 weeks no problems. then i started acting funny like the carb was dirty so i got a carb kit for it from moose. it runs fine untill you bring it between half and full power then it starts poping and shoot a flame out of the muffler? what should i do i checked the stator cause the guy i bought it off of said when he got it that that was 1 of the things it was doin to him before it blew up. but i checked it and it was fine? i dont know where to go from here any help would be great thanks! sounds like the carb needs jetting or the cam could be off

 

do u know who sells jet kits for a 230? i know my cam isnt off because it ran fine for like 2 weeks then it started acting up.

 

I agree with specialist,also check to make sure the engine is'nt sucking air.
