I vote for the red. I think 2 pounds would do a complete frame if you were careful about missed powder. The hardest thing about a frame is baking it. You would almost have to use a large infrared lamp. You would also need a infrared thermometer.

We went and picked up the powder from Tiger Drylac. The candy red is a two coat process, so I needed to get an undercoat. I got a mirror silver undercoat which was $80 for 5 lbs and the candy red (transparent) top coat was $65 for 5 lbs. I figured we needed 3-4 lbs and it was the same price to get 5lbs as it was to get 2-2lbs packages. The stripping of the frame, hubs, handlebars and all the little parts cost $50. We did the subframe ourselves. It's way worth the money having somebody else strip everything though. We spent about $15 on paint stripper for the subframe and lots of work and time. Plus it's hard to get all the crevices. The guy who's going to powder coat it is charging about $160. He's plugging all the holes and using heat tape on the areas that don't get powder coated. I'm so excited! It should be done by tomorrow! I've been polishing my engine and all kinds of other parts. Now if Rocky Mountain would get my new tires in stock and ship them already.........
Oh, if you call Tiger Drylac, they will send you out some samples of the colors on aluminum so you can see the true color. It helped make my decision a lot easier. They can also send you a color chart.
