Default how do i adjust valves on my vinson and eiger

I am about to adjust my valves back to factory specs...eiger is making a clicking sound and vinson is slight click...anyways I was wondering if anyone knew how to find top dead center on the compression stroke...is there a plug on the crankcase for it??

thanks

Right above your pull start there is a plug with about a 50 hex head. Pull it out and take the pull rope assembley off. I think it is a 14 mm to turn the motor over. There will be a white mark in the hole that is either tdc or tdc compression stroke. Feel your valves to find when they are loose when the mark is up and it will be tdc compression stroke. If you need the valve adjustments, let me know.
