Greetings. I've researched past posts and still can't identify the best winch mount for my Superwinch. I have the factory mount which sticks out and impairs approach angle. Based on a prior post, I tried the Warn mount (figuring to re-drill for the Superwinch) which mounts like I want, but the Superwinch just won't fit in the space. Can anyone advise me on a better mounting plate? Thanks

While winch protrusion seems a problem, if the winch is mounted high enough above the wheel centers, very little consequence results.

I ride with a Bayou 400 owner who had to mount his winch with some protrusion because of radiator clearance; also with a King Quad owner who had no choice but to mount the winch forward because of the KQ's design; the practical impact of the forward winch mounting is minimal in both cases.

If, on the other hand, the winch plate or fairled extends beyond a tire tangent line down low; look out!

I bought a Quadmaster last winter and it came with a free M.U.D. winch mount which I was not to fond of since you have to shift the whole bumper and skid plate assembly forward. I have been running the mount for several months and have to say I am happy with it. The winch is tucked away between the bumper and frame and does not hinder approach angle. I have no idea how much the mount is but it is one you might want to check out.
