When I went to gloss black rims on my Jeep, I was really happy with how that looked. Makes the tires look bigger, makes the rig look tougher. SO, do you think that'd look good on my Eiger? I'm thinking it'll look sweet, since there is so much black plastic in the middle of the Quad. hmmm... anyone seen anybody else do this?

 

I've seen it, but not on an Eiger yet. It does look good. I plan on powdercoating mine black whenever it's time to change my tires.

 

We put black c series rims and 26" mudlights on my wifes vinson and it looks great!!

If you want to get a rough idea what it will look like, take a pic of it side on and play with it on your computer in a paint program and color them black. It will give you some idea.

 

Sounds like a good look to me. The silver paint is actually peeling on one of my front rims. Sounds like a good enough excuse to switch colors. I'm no pro but is this something that a couple cans of primer and Krylon can handle?

 

I think it'd look really cool, especially since all the racks are black, good accent!

 

I'm picking up some ultra gloss black today. I'll take a pic and post it when I'm done. I think I'm going to actually pony up for Martin Senor or a "higher quality than Wal Mart" paint. Rims take a lot of abuse in the woods, and I don't want to have to repaint in 2 months.

That will look cool. And it's a utility bike, it doesn't need the shiny wheels. Can't wait to see what it looks like.

Still have to clean up a tad of overspray, but that should be easy with some lacquer thinner.
