Default '86 lt250???

Maybe somebody could help me with my buddies LT250R. When we get it started it runs awesome for awhile then all of a sudden dies like it is running out of gas, then wait for a few seconds and kick it over again and runs fine for awhile then dies again, any idea.

Kinda sounds as if the floats needs to be adjusted to allow more fuel

i personaly would never own one because of what i have heard and personaly delt whith. harder to find parts and less to work with, i would bother but for the right price that wouldnt be bad, just not as good as a 87-92.

I know my 1990 LT250s cant keep up with the two stroke 500's, but it holds its own with the other 4-strokes.

Go with the lt250r! i have one and its GREAT for trails and i have + 2 a arms and + 2 rear hubs! so a stock one would be better on trails just not mx. blasters will have wayyy more problems than an 86 lt!!!

I gotta defend my 86. It's super reliable and pretty fast. In a drag I'm right behind a stock raptor, and in the trails it's killer 'cause it's so light. The 85-86 had a dry weight of 298 lbs.

Definitely don't get the Blaster. A stock 86 LT250 would be a far superior machine all around to a Blaster. I'de give 1600 for a 86 LT250 before I'de ride a Blaster.

well, seeing how i have a 86 lt250r quadracer, i am probably gonna say you should get it. i bought mine for 1, 900 and it is in almost perfect condition plus it has a lot of mods on it for only 1, 900. Now yours is for sale at 1, 600, if you ask me i think i is a little pricey considering that it is all stock unless it is in PERFECT CONDITION. Go to this website here www.kellybluebook.com it is a website that gives the value of any vehicle you want in good, crappy, and VERY GOOD comdition. you can go and find it and customze everything you want on the atv or you can just go here which is a lot easier. http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/ke.kb.m...54&1986;Suzuki
this is a lot easier....trust me. good luck, later
