I have an 86 LT250 and cant find a jet kit for it anywhere. I have tried looking for Dynojet, FMF, and K&N. Am I looking in all the wrong places or do none exist?

 

Jet kits are a waste of money. Just go to your local dealer and buy a few for 2-3 bucks a piece.

 

Can anyone recommend the jet sizes to use for the 86' with K&N open box, FMF pipe, bored 40 over.

We think we have a bad combination with a #210 main, a #63 needle and I don't remember what the pilot is. We have taken it apart, cleaned it tried the needle valve in each of the bottom 4 settings and still can't get it to run clean above 1/4 throttle. One minute we think it is rich and then it acts lean but smokes too much for mobil 1 synethic blend.

We think we have changed things too much to use stock jet sizes but do not know the right combination for this setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We started with a box of quad 2 years ago and we really want relive the history at this point.

there is no fmf exhaust, it is stock.

 

I was thinking about a jet kit because my spring needs to be replaced and I am not experienced enough to know what jets to get, I am thinkin around 250-260, but its a guess. No one can seem to give me good advice.
