Default calling all quadzilla owners

Hey, man the quadzilla was never meant for the woods. If it is dunes you love go for it; but it too much power to try to handle in the woods. I own a 90 lt500 punched out to 550cc and I know I am gonna regret it.

Pumpkin,

Thats a popular misconception, that the Zillla is a " Dune Only" quad. I have ONLY ridden mine in the woods and I love it. Plush suspension, and you dont have to be on the pipe to make power. State trails here are 52" min. width, most are wider. You may want to tone down your 550cc mill a bit for the woods, aim for torque more than hp, and you will see blurry trees.

stock suspension on a zilla sucks, especially for woody and bumpy trail riding, you gotta man handle the thing to keep it on the trail

Buy one, I have ridden mine entirely on trails since i baught it a year ago,I'll admit its too wide in some spots and its a bit much to control on really tight technicle stuff but its so worth it. I feel the suspension is actualy pretty good but i have a works rear shock, stock fronts though. The power is amazing and is built like crazy everywhere in the power band, from the first to the last rpm these things fly. I havent heard much about the bottomb end bearings, but im getting my engine rebuilt in a couple weeks and i'll let you know more about them if i need it done.

I run Works triple rates on the front and a rebuilt stock shock on the rear of my 87, and it rides super nice with my fat *** on board. I also run a cheap FMF Fatty Torque, which does help the bottom end, but the 500 has plenty grunt with out the FMF. I did have a Paul Turner, but put it on my 90 Zilla when I sold it.

The big mass of the 500 eggs out the side cases eventually, but take off the magneto cover and see if you can wiggle it in any direction. No movement is good.

I also run 21" mudsharks, and can usually rooster tail through most obstacles.

No reverse sucks, and a 1/4 turn twist throttle needs extra caution in tricky stuff, but smarter people probably leave the stock thumb throttle alone.

I say go get one!!
