Hey Z400Nora,

You can also get flush mount valve stems made by Gorilla products, that way you won't have to use washers to space your wheels out. We did this with our Raptor and really widened the front end up, made it much more stable.

Totally sucked. That's what caused me to rebuild the whole bike a couple of years ago.

Hey there rascal.
These guys with the handeling improvement dont know how to have any fun...
So do these guys who make the spacers have an internt site, I'd be intreasted in doing it the correct way, especially if these accidents with worn ball joints do really happen. Im also considering in buying some compition shocks, as these guys are right, its only a matter of time.

What about ball joints guys. Can you get an up rated set of these??? That would be handy

Wheel spacers are no different then flipping the rims.

I've got something to caustion you LT250r riders about doing this. Some moron did this to my machine before I bought it and I changed it back because it handled like crap and squatted in bumps. Also the wheel sticking out further past the pivot point of the spindle gave rocks stumps and trees ALOT more leverage to rip the bars out of your hands.

Here is the MAIN reason not to do this. It seems you have to remove the dust shields or the valve stems will hit. Even if you get the flush mount stems this opens up the back of your wheel to rocks etc...If one wedges between the caliper and rim kiss the valve stem goodbye. Instant flat tire. It happened to me way up north (northern Ontario, Canada) on an old logging road to God knows where. Its not fun.

Just a word to the wise is all....

if you're gonna do this mod, do it right and mount the stems on the other side of the rim. the second time you have to put air in the tire, you'll think.....

Don't get the wheel spacers for the front! We put them on the front of the Ozark and the handling is horrible. On the back they're ok. On the front it throws off the whole stability. If you want width, add aftermarket a-arms. We were going to get a steering stabilizer for it, but just took them off the front. It handled so bad it scared me! They seem fine on the back though and you can get them on ebay for about $50.

So these spacers dont seem much extra. I bet shipping them over to the UK will cost a bit though.
these spacers?? How much extra spacing do you get because I'v inserted about 2-3mm washers to allow room between the calpier + valve. i didnt dare add anymore as the thread of the hub isnt poking through the nuts!!! i may need to buy new hubs with longer threads...

Oh sod this. this whole modification is going to be extreamly expensive in the long run. Aaaaaaaaaa
