Lt250s and LT250r engine swap?
#1
Ok, heres the big question of my day. I am thinking about putting a Lt250r engine into my quadsport (1990 LT250s). I was wondering first of all , if it was possible. Secondly, I was wondering how much I can get out of the 250s engine. It was totally rebuilt last month and has had about 4 hours run time. I am going to sell it with the complete exhaust assembly (sandblasted and painted with heat paint), and the carb. Thanks for your time.

yes, its 4-stroke.. i was just wondering if it would mount in the same spot, or if i would have to make and weld engine brackets. The guy who is thinking about trading me is going to give me the 250r engine. this is what he wrote to me , " have a 250r motor minus a cylinder bottom half has been all checked out and its strong,i also have the pipes ,carb ,head ,wiring, and the complete bike with tons of extra parts give me a email and i can tell u have the parts i have thanks" Do you think thats a good deal ? ... since the engine needs a cylinder? Oh yah, and the engine is a 1987 2-stroke.
