ds faster than quadzilla?

according to the guys at the bombardier forum they're getting 70hp out of a stock bore gas 650. i would think u can get more out of a 500cc 2stroke, but i never heard of anything more than that for a quadzilla either. so my question is post the highest hp for a stock bore gas quadzilla uve ever heard of. thanks

I can't say what my Zilla makes for HP on stock bore because it's now ".060 over. A fella I work with has a TVI 720, Race head, cams, exhaust, carb, and Alky on his tank, (I mean Bombardier) and he didn't have quite enough!!

I read an article on sand drag quads, and the guys at Trinity built a Nitrous Zilla with tons of mods, but they still used a Zilla motor. I'm not sure if it was bored over or not, but that really doesn't matter too much anyway. Their reached close to 100hp before nitrous, and somewhere around 150 with it. Serious serious mods though. Way more than just about anybody could ever do. I don't know if I still have the article, but the quad was orange, white, and had lots of chrome.
I'm not sure if that's ever been topped, but I did read another aricle about someone (maybe Tudor's performance) messing around with the idea of adding a turbo to an lt500 since it worked so well on some of the 4 strokes. I'm not sure if that would benefit a 2 stroke as much though. I haven't heard anything since.
I also have heard that on the MacDizzy website (annual fee required), some guy called Dr. Q knows crazy tricks about how to get ridiculous power out of the Zilla. For example, one trick is you can buy a certain style wisco piston that weighs slightly more than stock, and you drill a certain size hole in the exact right place on the piston skirt to increase the transfer ports and it will also match the exact weight of the stock piston which will minimize any vibration. Pretty cool trick if you can do it right!

Dr. Q is the man.... And yes, an 88mm piston with the correct mods will weigh less than the stocker from Suzuki, and flow one heck of alot better.
I cannot guesstimate how much HP my LT makes... never dyno'd it before
I would be guessing into the 80 range with Dr. Q's wizardry...
Did the guy mention how much $$$$ he spent on getting to 70HP on the Bomb? I've seen a few of them run pretty good... but it takes some serious cash to get there..
I have less than $500 of goodies in my motor.
my $.02

For hp in the mid 60's, you don't even need to port a Zilla. A good pipe (Paul Turner or better), proper jetting, air intake mods, and a fresh rebuild with good compression and you're there. After that, porting the cylinder, shaving the head, and Dr. Q's piston trick will have you begging for mercy!

Who did your port work? And who told you your hp #'s? One thing about dynos is that hp can vary with different gearing and even different wheels/tires due to their weight. I believe everthing else being stock, you should be over 60.
For comparison, I've ridden one of my bone stock 88 Zilla's against my brothers 89 which has a PT pipe, jetting, and drilled airbox lid - no porting. His destroys mine. However, my 88 has never been rebuilt and has a little less than stock compression. I'm sure I don't have 50+ hp anymore like fresh stock ones do, but regardless, his has to have close to 15 ponies on me judging by how much he can smoke me.

im not saying you HAVE to port to get any power, it was just an example.
i asked trinity who did my motor work and they said around 75 if its done right...(insert bash on trinity here) but according to all those online HP/weight/ET calculators if they are accurate at all its pretty much right on.
