Default Eiger Front Diff

Hi all,
as anyone ever had a problem with the front diff or CV joints on there eiger?
I've owned the eiger for about two years now... and I've only had two problems so far:
1) CV boot that split open about 10 months ago...
2) Motor knock, valve clearancve related...

Now when I put it in 4x4, I hear a grinding noise in the front end, especially when going down hill and off the throttle... I changed the diff oil in the front diff and the final drive and it his still making the same noise... I was thinking maybe it was a CV joint, but before taking it all apart I thought I'd ask...

Any help is appreciated...

Thanks!

Even though I do it all the time, I don't think it's recommended that you shift in/out of 4wd while you're moving. That could be the root of your problem.

I DID have my 4x4 get stuck engaged the other day. I had to drive backwards and violently steer back and forth to get it unstuck.

I never change from 2 to 4 wheel drive without making a complete stop...
there might be dirt or water that got into the inner cv joint...
i'll take the front end apart this week-end...
