Just got a Z400

the z250 DOES have a clutch...It's just an auto clutch. Clutches are no where NEAR optional lol...The only time I don't use the clutch, is when I drag race. Which isn't all that often. Please don't tell kids clutches are optional...if anything, they need to get into the habit of using a clutch...clutching also makes it so you have full control of the machine...for the z400 owner...ITS VERY IMPORTANT l..especially when you're breaking your machine in...things like the z250, the 250ex, and lower model sport quads DO have clutches, they're just internal, and automatic...so all you have to do is the shifting...

I drove semi's for a year or so, the only time you use a clutch in them is starting and stopping. After hopping out of a big truck and into my little Mazda, I would usually forget to clutch between shifts, then I got so use to it I just shifted clutchless in most standard trans vehicles. It's all about the sweet spot. A certain rpm that'll allow your shifter to slide right into gear w/o grinding or binding. DISCLAIMER: I don't recommend learning this practice on the family car however, cuz if you don't know what you're doing, you can seriously screw stuff up. So kids, in other words, use your clutch as often as possible, but the occasional slip probably won't hurt it.

Yeah, you can shift fine like that if you know how. Isn't it called rev-matching though?

I financed my 04 kfx400 but put $2000 out of the $2500 that I got for my dirt bike down on it and my note is minimum payment $82 a month.
The only crapy part is the 17.80% APR.I'm just gona save mega money and pay it off by the middle of next year.
