fixing my lt250!
#1
well after my clutch gear exploded a few weeks ago I am almost back on the trail. I had to buy all new clutch parts and a couple tranny gears, etc. Total of about $300. All I really have left to do is have the side case fixed. It has a 1/2" hole to the rear of the clutch case and I'm wondering if it can be aluminum welded or what? Maybe just load it up with a bunch of JB weld? Hopefully I can take it to a shop and just get it welded the correct way.
Any ideas? thanks...scotty

Take it someplace that specializes in aluminum welding. Don't use JB wels for that repair as you will regret it. Almost anything can be rewelded by a good welder. I have had to do it befroe with a hole in my crank case from an exploding piston. It won't be beatiful but will do the job.
