Default 400ex carb

Have heard of people putting 400ex carbs on Z400's. Is this a noticable improvement? Is it just a larger carb or a better design?

If it's not cammed, high comp piston, or bored, a bigger carb won't do much. The stock 36mm can be richened or leaned on a stock engine. Where you'll run into probs is when that 36mm won't allow enough air fuel mix through. A bigger carb on a piped bike will give you only 1-2hp more on top, but it'll take 1-2hp on bottom.

Yeah, i heard if you put a bigger carb the more power you will get. I also heard that the honda carb does give you more power. Oh, Ball i asked you a question about the cams in the other topic that you replyed earlier about.
