do 2 strokes use rev limiters?
got a '85 LT250R, just wondering if they used rev limiters on them, my brothers '86 ATC250R seems to rev a lot higher..

yeah, thats true, my kids '01 Blaster revs pretty high compared to my LT too.
maybe I just have a turd of an LT250 LOL

yep they do, stick it and first, and just rev it, you will hear after powerband, that it starts to sputter, and back off, thats the limiter.

if that's true, then there must be a way to disable it?
is there more power to be gained higher in the rpm's after porting?
on the one I ported, I advanced the timing on it a little bit and it tops out pretty fast...
