87-90 quadracer250 piston swap
#4
Now dont take my word for this but when i took the piston out of my 89, nad took it in to get a new one 20 over it was a 87 piston, and i told him to double checkthe part number off the old one and he did and it wasa 87 piston, and it runs good so it should work.

No, the part number for an '87 piston is different than an '88. The '87 piston had a slightly different skirt shape for different port timing. The head is also different (along with several other things).

yes, everywhere i checked for the part numbers they were diferent, and i know that the ports on the newer ones are diferent.so i would imagine the piston shape/ring placement is diferent as well. well anyways i passed on the 90'cylinder,and bought an 87 cylinder.
