Purchasing a Z-400 Tommorow.. Need some info
Going to purchase a Z-400 Tommorow from Enumclaw Yamaha Suzuki (in case you are in Washington state!)... Wondering what I should try to get as an OTD price.. I did the search.. I saw what people had been paying for '03's and one person with an 04 but it was back east and I am wondering for this are (pacific nw).
Also, should I get the Suzuki Extended Protection plan? Anybody have anything good to say regarding SEP?
One more thing.. If they have a selection of 04 and 05 models should I get the 04 if cheaper or stick to the 05's only?
Thanks alot!

I am adamit about purchasing because I do it for a living. Sorry for the long post just remember to get a good deal and do not feel uncomfortable!!! EVER!!
My biggest suggestion read my post to this new purchaser: What to ask for when buying a new quad!.
I just bought an 04' Expedition this last weekend and I had them going lower and lower on that price. I left with a $39,000+ SUV for only $31,700! Not including other things of course (trade-in). If you have all the gear try asking for some jets and an air filter or maybe some pipes. Remember to ask them one phrase, "What can you offer me, so I want to buy this thing today?" If they give you that crap about we have such a great deal blah, blah, blah that is just there way of saying we want you to pay top $.
Look at the MSRP it is 13-14% over invoice. Your best bet is that you land in that range. Never forget about tax, lic & doc fees! Destination will practically kill the price of a bike! Take a calculator and have them explain everything. And I mean everything. If you are going to finance make sure you have % from other Banks. And always be there for an uncomfortable amount of time! Never say yes to there first offer. The more you act like you can't afford it usually they will try to work you a deal.
This is not always the case at all dealerships.
Good luck, keep us informed as to what you decided or what deals you got!!

Competely out the door, tax and freight and all that crap, I got my '04 a couple months ago for $5275. Luckily, I had a very very very small connection but it did end up saving me around $200. The dealership I bought mine from can't keep the damn things on the floor so I got an incredible price considering the demand for them.
I went on a Thursday. Three new ones had just arrived (only three there) and by the time I showed up at 6:00 two were sold already.

I bought an '04 KFX400 OTD for $5200. Between my dad and I we bought 3 new bikes from this dealership in 3 months. They didn't charge us sales tax (showed an out of state delivery address) and discounted the bike right from the start. LTZ400guy, that's really good advice for buying ANYTHING. Never ever, ever pay sticker price, unless at Wal-Mart!!

Purchasing a Z-400 Tommorow.. Need some info
oh yeah. i regret when i bought my z. i bought it for about 5500 including tax title and registration, that was pretty good considering my dealership is money hungry. i had gotton a good deal b/c my parents had also bought an atv from them a short time before i got mine.
there was one problem. when i bought mine i was only 15, and my parents had to do the transaction. so i didnt get a dam thing out of them. so when i got home i got to go ride it and wear my freeken snowmobile helmet. yeah, 70 degree weather and a snowmobile helmet. i gave them 5500 and they couldnt even throw in a helmet.
i will never buy another new quad without more negotiation(?).
but i LOVE my 04' z and wouldnt trade it for any other quad on the market.......except for an 05' z.
