Default QuadRacer Lt-250R Questions

I hear from few people that a lt-250r is not reliable and that this atv have many motor problems. That is true???

What is the years that suzuki made the 250Racer with powervalves and 6speed tranny?I think that is between 87 and 92??

What is the top speed of a stock 250Racer with powervalves and 6 speed tranny??

What is the mix of oil and fuel do you use??

Thanks a lot

I hate to break it to your source, but the LT250's are quite reliable. As much or more so than some others I can think of off hand. Still you have to remember that the NEWEST lt out there is 12 years old. So some things will be need to be replaced or fixed at that age because of ware and that goes for ALL quads. 87-92 have the exhaust valve and the six speed. To get the best of the best 91-92 is the one to get. For oil mix I run 32:1. Works great. You can get away with a little thicker though.

Suzuki lt250r are reliable, just like everything else.. Take care of it it'll take care of you.. Keep it in good running condition. Example, Clean the carbs every 3-5 trips, keep the air filter clean etc.. I got a stock 85 250r. runs like a champ...keep the carb clean. clean the airfilter every ride, it'll be good. But motor problems thats the overall condition of the bike. If the bike was beat up ridden hard, the motor will not be reliable...
