#1 The EX has more power.
#2 The EX is more stable at higher speeds. The Ozark has a considerably tighter turning radius. (Maybe the tightest of any 4 wheeler I've ridden.)
#3 The Ozark is well suited to the mud. It just "feels" lighter when you're rippin' on it. Working the clutch won't wear you out or cause you to stall at a BAD time. It also has good foot protection. And an "all-day" plush seat.

You forgot #4 & #5
#4 Reverse. The reverse protocall on the EX is THE WORST EVER!
#5 The Ozark has a recoil back up. If your battery dies, you can start it like a lawn mower.

The Ozark also comes with built in winch mounts up front.

For any type of sport riding the EX will be better but don't discredit the Ozark too much. For a UTILITY it is VERY sporty. If the trail gets slow and technical or you want to jump in mud holes up to the gas tank the Ozark will impress you...................

Yeah, J told me to get the Ozark after a couple months of research. It's a great quad. We take it to the races and everything. It even fits in the back of the minivan! It really depends on what you are comfortable with. I don't care for the reverse on the 300ex. You have to reach over yourself. I've only ridden one once. It's got plenty of power, but then again, so does the Ozark. It just depends on you.

Well me and tjmax must have switched, my 300 ex was stolen and I got an Ozark to replace it (just traded it in last Sat for the new bike in my sig)

As everyone else said the ozark will inpress you in the mud, most people thought it was 4x4. I could go any where my friends did with 400 4x4s and pushed them out of the mud a few times. It did great on trails, would hillclimb the supid stuff and handled very good. If I didn't want to get muddy on it I didn't. The 300ex was much faster, it didn't like the mud as well (sprocket and brake hang down to far for any sizeable ruts) and I had problems with the rear bearings getting sand and water in them. I didn't get to trail ride it very much but it handled very well and landed much softer on any jumps, the ozark hits hard then bounces. If you ride through wet grass with the 300 you will be soaked.

It would be a tough decision if my 300 wasn't stolen I proboly still have it, but that ozark was very fun to.

Hope that helps, Jeff

in edit Just thought I add I would think if you could find a used Z250 it would be a great combination of the two.

If I were you I would go with the ozark because it has more ground clearence, good for mud, trail, and sport as well, has a sporty look, and has the best handling I have ever seen. To find one thats in good shape for $2000 is a very good buy and you shouldn't pass it up. Put some mud tires on it and your almost unstopable. I know the oz has just as much if not more low end power. But most important you get what you like most. The oz will not fail you I promise.
