Hey guys I talked to Mickey today and decided that I am gonna go forward with the Vinsons mods...I figure I could blow several hundred on cams from so and so etc etc. However I'd rather just do the 1 big mod. What kind of power should I expect from this unit when I get it back with Carb etc etc. Its gonna cost me about 1400 or so according to Mickey plus shipping. I am upset however that he said probably about a month before I get the unit back. Does anyone have any links or information on tests with the 581 kit?

I plan to get EVERYTHING done to it (cam mod, port and polish, new piston (obviously)...and new carb (do I need it?)

I just want it to do about 65 like nothing with my 26's.

What if I ported and polished the head myself...and did a web-cam mod...combined with the rest of my mods would you think that would bring me anywhere close to what a 581 kit does?

i really hate to bump myself over and over again...just one question maybe someone would know without bothering the already busy mr. dunlap. Does he supply you with a new cam...or does he grind yours because I figure with him being as busy as he is...Id rather just get the parts and bring em down to my buddies shop where he has all the machinery I need. My only concern is that the cam is ground down instead of a totally different cam.

Who is FST?

 

FST makes motor kits that scream.

However it takes about a month and it gets kinda pricey IMO.
