lt250 swingarm interchangable lt500?
#2
Nope. They're not the same. The front of the swingarm is about the same between the frame and motor and may work, but the suspension setup is way different, plus the 250 swingarm is actually a couple inches longer than the 500. Also, the axle bearings are way bigger on the 500 (due to a thicker axle) and I believe the outer diameter of the rear housing is bigger on the 500. The 250's had 3 different style swingarms. In 85 and 86, they had round style axle housing. In 87 - 90, they had square housing but they had a linkage set up much different than the 500's. In 91-92, they had a rear suspension more similar looking to the 500 but none of the parts are interchangeable. Having said that, you could probably modify a 91-92 style 250 swingarm to work on a 500. It might actually make a descent drag swingarm since it's longer.

It is exactually an extended swinarm, thats why I was wondering if it would fit. He will sell me the swingarm, carrier, and aftermarket axle so I think the only thing I need to check out is if it will bolt up fine in the front?
