Suzuki LT80 Reliability, How often does it break down and for what reasons ?
The LT80 has been around since the mid 80's - unchanged and yet consistantly rated as one of the top kids quads. While it does have it's flaws, it's pretty much bullet proof. An unmodded LT80 will give years and years of service with only routine maintenance.

Every quad has it's limits. Kids can generally push them a little far sometimes. The LT is not a big jumper, but is as reliable then any other quad made. Our Suzuki dealer's wife calls them a "sherman tank". The injection system works great. Seems that a few have had problems with the petcocks not working right, but I feel they are mainly due to setting too long and the diaphragm going bad in them. Front brake cables tend to freeze up I think from the kids not using them. Other than that I cant think of anything else. Like Jay said if they aren't modded they will go for years with just normal maintenence.

lt80's are cool.
your kid will outgrow before anything happens.
ive had 2 with 2 kids - both almost perfect.
except for kid banging it up when learning - all is wonderful with these bikes !
AND resale value on these are beautifull !
