My son just bought a Suzuki Kingquad 300 4x4 1991 model, and it needs a new battery......where is the batter located?

 

most batteries are under the seat or under the rear plastic

 

seriously, no disrespect, but why not give it a little look before you ask a question like that.

 

well I have looked under my seat and no battery just air cleaner boxes and as far as under back plastic its a storage bin for tools and then under that a muffler.....so looking I have tried mine is a 93 KQ 400 4x4 I have restored street rods and a few old bikes Im slow but mechanicly some what enclined......still cant find the battery...??? and then?

 

Well, you could either hop over to the other thread or just take off that front plastic cover that is around the headlights.

Is this the same quad or just a real coincidence?

As the post above said it is under the headlight cover, held by four screws, you have to slide it forward through the front rack.
