The Quad runner, along with its bigger brother, the 280cc KQ,are both underpowered quads, though, they are both extremly dependable quads. Are you saying the quad only tops out at 25mph in high range? It should have a top end speed of around 42mph on flat land in high range. It will take awhile to acheive that speed though. If not,you certainly have a problem and I'd suggest getting it back into the dealership under warrenty for a complete observation.===Bill

I too have recently purchased a 2000 quadrunner 250 4x4 and in comparison to the 1999 that I bought last year for my wife was very disappointed in the performance and when hot hard trouble with it starting. I returned it to the dealer in Helena Mt and he contacted suzuki for recomendations. Seems the new carb on the 2000 hasn't been set-up properly. He jetted down the carb main jet, adjusted the air screw, installed a colder spark plug, modified the crank case to air box breather tube and installed the cooling fan. WOW!! what a difference this thing feels unbelievable- pulls the grades 5% in 4-5 gear high range and tops out at 50+. I thought the 99 had good power this 2000 is even better.
