Default 1st KQ 700's - Not Until Nov.

I just talked to several dealers and they are saying we should see them in about 2 weeks. Don't shoot the messenger, that's just what I've been told. Looks like I only have to drool in a bucket a little longer until it's here!!!!

I put a deposite on my first twin peaks last october 2 nd and it had been unvailed in aug 2003. I was at the plant the week they started building them and that was the first week in January 2004 it was febuary befor the first ones arrived at the dealers and since I was dead set on blue and they didn't hit production till the first week in febuary and the showrooms in march, i waited over 6 months. I hope this is not the case with the KQ's but I won't be surprised knowing Kawa/suki.

Bigbang, if you looked at the review and video it's not a completely new design.

I'm confident we'll see them shortly...either way, I've waited a couple of months and although it's frutrating I'm fairly patient.

I don't think age of design has much to do with it, the twin peaks is a pure clone of a quad that had been out over 2 years, I think BigBang and KegCan are probably on the right track with whats happening being more marketing related reguarding the Kawa/suki relationship. If I am correct about the chassis on the two quads being sharred then a desicion was made to launch the BF first and when the kawi production is all up and going on track the KQ will kick off itproduction. The one thing I see different this time is that Suki is runing adds right now about the KQ and it didn't on the Twin Peaks untill December, they just had it on there website in august last year.

Ok, not to sound arguementative but the chasis is clearly not shared....at least that's what I'm thinking after seeing Bruteforces in person and looking at the many pics and cut-aways of the KQ. I may be wrong but that's what I'm thinking.

I was studying the BF of my dads and like you looking at all the pictures I could find of the KQ, I thought they looked the same to me. What did you see that looked differnt. I noticed the exhaust exited on the opposite side but that wasn't related to the chassis so I sure thought what I saw and what I know about them working on ATV products being a joint effort, would lead me to the notion the chassis s being sharred or at least the frame and suspensions. I would realy like find out conclusivly the answer, I realy didn't care much for the BF's chassis, I much prefer the prarrie chassis by far.

cc1999,

Going to take another look at all the pics of the two machines and write a good response later....off to work....first thing that strikes me without looing is the sway bar setup is different and the single beam top arm on the KQ...as I said, more later....oh, different wheel travel numbers, width, height...ok so I can think of a lot off the top of my head...more later

I am not saying that every component is the same. I am thinking its more like how Chevy, Pontiac, and Buiks share chassis but do have different engines, fenders, interiors suspension components like sway bars and spring rate changes depending on the brands target markets. like how Pontiacs have the Performance image, chevy is durable image and buik has a luxury image, thus causing there engines and suspension tunning to vary to some degree but they still share chassis.

cc1999, only a few nuts and bolts are the same, only if perchance they got them from the same supplier. Not the frame. Not the engine. Not the suspension. Not the axles. Not the final drive. Not the plastic. Not the instrument panel. Nothing.

These two companies are not under one ownership like chevy and pontiac, they have just agreed to share some models to boost sales. This is how GM sells toyotas and suzukis in their geo line, I think isuzu to. That is how suzuki sells the peaks. They did that just to remain competitive against bigger companies. There is no design sharing. They each have their own engineers.

I am glad suzuki made this KQ, I think they realized so many quad manufacturers were doing such a bad job at delivering all the features we want, they felt they could do it.

This is best machine right now.
