Default ball joint tricks?

Long story short, i havent been here in ages. I was riding my Quadracer at Dyracuse Park in Wi (which by the way was awesome) when i got back from hitting the trails pretty hard. I got suited up to hit the MX track but the steering felt really tight, I went back to the truck, shook the front and and BAM ball joint fully seperated. Now I have the new ones ready to go in in the morning. Any tricks to getting the old ones out? I already took off the bolt on the back, they still seemed pretty snug though. Should i use a puller? slide hammer?
Any help would be appreciated.

If you dont care about your pain, heat them, otherwise, hit them with penetrating oil and whack them out. I think I hit the bolt that holds them in. As long as you have got enough threads inside still it wont damage them. Unless you REALLY wail on it.
