Need some quick diagnosing of my tranny problem. After a pretty hard ride the other day, the bike started making a popping sound in second gear. First gear is tight and revs out healthy. No apparent problems from third up through the rest, either. I suppose this is bad. I don't believe this is clutch related, will operate this weekend. Thanks for any input.

 

i think you might need a new shifter cam spring. it keeps pressure on the cam to make it harder to move, and if it gets weak, the cam will move easier and change gears easier.......jmo, maybe im wrong
