Default Need a tire(s)

I ran a stob into the sidwall of my stock Eiger Dunlop rear tire today. I need a new tire. I have no idea of what to buy. I like the smooth ride and the tread is fine for my needs on the Dunlops. I think the most important thing is... what would be a good replacement with more "ply" protection and not be an aggresive tread.? Also, since I had only 600 miles on the tire(s) would I just be better off to buy another of the same OEM tire since I don't want to buy two tires? I have looked at the Carlise brand and they are made in the USA and have the same tread but are only (I think) two plys. Tractor supply store had them at $64.50 each. Any suggestions. This is my first time to need tires.

Check Ebay for take offs and if you end up buying a new set then look at the ITP holeshot atr radials for a good review on these go to ATVTelevision.com They love em and can give a good review

buy at least a 4ply tire if you replace them much stronger than 2ply. im not a fan of donlop tires, the best place to buy tires is www.rockymountainatv.com there prices are always good and ive never had a problem with them.

I just put a set of Holeshot ATR radials on my Vinson. The Holeshot ATR is a six ply tire. The front tire is 7lb heavier than the Dunlop OEM front at around 18lb. The rear tires weigh 22 lb each and are also about 7 lb heavier (per tire) than the Dunlop OEM rears. So I'm pushing an extra 30lb of rubber now.

I did notice a slight drop in acceleration because of the extra weight but got used to it very quickly. Dalton makes a secondary spring for the Vinson that is supposed to recover some of the lost acceleration.

The ride is like night and day. I was surprised at how plush the ride is now. These tires soak up the bumps much better than the OEM tires.

I'd recommend them.

Mark
