I found an 85' suzuki with a broken piston ring.Its for sale for 350 bucks...do you think its worth it?

 

NO, the 230's have lots of problems and u might spend $350.00 but that is nothing compared to how much u will spend everytime it messes up. Personally, the guy who ownes it would have to pay me $350.00 to take it off his hands.....My best advice, save ur money you will be glad u did later.............

 

i would stay from it,save your money and get something newer.if i remember correctly the early 230 and/or 250 did not have rear suspension

 

If it is the sport model with clutch chain rear suspension I would put a ring on it and make some money.Anything running in fair shape is worth $500 so you would make a little.

 

I would agree with almost everyone. Stay away. I know three people with them and all they have is trouble.

Go for it! I have a 230 and hardly ever have problems(except when I'm showing off!). If you get it fixed and don't like it, sell it.

 

i have a 230 qsport and it i one big problem. i have heard that they have a problem overheating and the oil ring collapes causing it to smoke. mine did this a couple of times now. right now the stupid is broken it blew up a few months ago. needless to say i got a new quad.
