I have a Suziki LT 160 with broken choke and reverse gear cables. I was wondering if you must use special Suzuki cables or if you could use a different type? Thank you for your help.

you can find choke cable son ebay for around $20....the reverse cable looks as if its only a suzuki item, but can be found on ebay also around $50...might try a local nonbrand cycle shop

 

tried doing exactly that with non-suzuki parts, and it was a waste of time and money for me (and I'm mechanically inclined) It never worked out as well as it did with the stock setup, so I spent the extra coin, got the right parts, and haven't had a problem since, which is my recommendation to you
