Building a ground up LT250R Duner
#1
I am working on a LT250R duner that I am buidling from the ground up. My current step is getting the chassis all in order. I am looking for some chrome +2 a-arms and a chrome +2 swingarm. I am aware of Lonestar building these parts, but is there any other companies making these aftermarket components for the LT? Do any of you folks have aftermarket a-arms or swingarms on your LTs? If so, I would be really interested in seeing pictures.
What I am considering doing is running a Honda bearing carrier in the new round housing swingarm I will be picking up. Has anyone ever done this? I am concerned about possible clearance issues with the rear caliper when the suspension is fully compressed. The Honda rear end would be advantageous because of the availability of different sprocket sizes and billet carrier for the sprocket. If it works it would also eliminate the strange linkage on rear caliper.
Let me know what the rest of you guys have done for your swingarms and a-arms on your LTs.
