lancems007-

If you put all your weight out front and punch it does the front end come up? Just wonderin cause when I got my prairie it was in march and I did not get a chance to drive on dry pavement when it was new to really compare the power from new to how it was after breaking it in awhile. I mean, the first chance I had to drive on flat dry pavement I could lean forward as far as possible in high gear and punch it and the quad would want to flip over. Does the KQ have this same type of torque that I love soooooo much? I did not baby my quad when new, I would let it warm up properly and give it varying degrees of short bursts of full throttle. There was no way I could of went 10hrs. of no more than 1/2 throttle, glad I didn't, the thing runs awesome. What are Suzuki's recommendations for the KQ?

How long before you test out the 4 wheel drive in mud and on hills?

Nice job man. You are one of 2 people on the web i know who has one. cant wait till i get mine. glad to hear your review. Thats very helpful side picture you got of the front snorkel, you think you can take a picture just like that of the rear?? Also, hows the acceleration from bottom to top on that thing? thanx, i'll prob ask a bit more questions along the way.

btw, nutsy, you broke your engine in pretty well by not doig the half throttle thing. let those rings seat lol. its how i'll break in my KQ if i get it.

How hard is it to break the rear end into a powerslide in regular dirt on a corner? Can it be closely compared to any other quad already out there?

Can't wait to see it race against the Prairies. Mike Penland finally has competition! The show is going to be even more interesting!

lancems007- Great pictures and info. I'm going to add a couple questions.

What is your first impression of the EFI system? Do you think the EFI is an improvement over the carbs?
Does it start as easy as a car with EFI? (just turn the key) Will the EFI system give it an edge over the carb models? How is the EFI system protected from the elements?

Thanks

Wow, lots of questions and not enough time to read!!!! Let's see if I can remember some.

EFI:
My first impression of the efi is that I like it. You don't need to choke it to start up. I am assuming that it should simplify things down the road when it inevitably gets hopped up. Just plug in a new ECM and you're off!

Does it handle better than a grizzly?
I feel confident in answering this one. My teammates and I won the Maxxis 6 hours of ATV America in Rausch Creek Pennsylvania on a Modded up Grizzly. It was of course wider, etc... than a stock one. Keep in mind that I have four miles in this bike. I would say that it handles almost as good stock as the wider, modded Grizzly with 6 ply tires did. Right now, I don't want to say it's way better than this or that because I just don't have enough time on it yet. I should be headed out to ride tomorrow for a while, so I'll keep you guys posted.

Lots of talk about wheelies:
I like wheelies as much as the next guy, but to be honest, if I have the wheels up when I'm racing, I'm into the trees. Anybody who's ever seen me race knows that I usually properly introduce all of my quads to a tree before too long. I'm sure if wheelies are your thing, you could set this thing up to do so. I know when I stand up and punch it, I can wheelie at will. That's as much of that as I can comment on at this point though!

Will it beat Mike Penland:
I've raced against Penland before, and all I have to say is this guy rolls!!!! He's a hell of a nice guy as well and willing to give advice to anyone. Penland rolls partly because the Prairie is fast, but mostly because he is a really smart and talented racer. So, don't get me wrong, we'll be looking to challenge him, but no matter how good this KQ turns
out to be, beating Penland will be no small feat!

Rear snorkel:
If you guys look close on my second post, I took some pics of the rear snorkel.

thanks for the photos, but some of them make it hard to see how the snorkle is shaped. I don't mean to knock your photography, since I can't take a good photo sometimes either. But all that black plastic and frame doesn't help me see it.

There is a KQ in town now. I will see it I can go take a look.
