real good review,

i have heard of 5 people riding them that complained of a hesitation taking off, you didnt feel any thing?

so you think the air snorkles are protected good from splash up going through water?

thanks

From what I've heard, Penland won't be racing a Brute Force because they are too big to get around a tight woods course. I don't know how true that statement is or not. As far as the EFI hesitation, I haven't noticed one.

I am not possative on this, but since the prarrie name is on the way out and there was a BF 650 anounced last week thats nothing more than a prarrie 650 with new BF looking plastic, I would bet its the SRA BF650 with all penlands own proven mods that he would be racing and not the BF750i , that would make more since to me. I wouldn't want to switch to the IRS BF without alot of suspension mods and alot of practice time with it.

My Suki dealer called last night to let me know there 1st KQ came in. I plan to go and take a test ride this week end. He did tell me not to expect the same amount of power out it, as the twin peaks I bought from him earlier this year. He said it was close but he thought it was a little short by comparison. Has anyone esle experinced them both enough to agree or disagree with what he was telling me.

I've ridden both and they are really close. Too close for me to tell. I think either one is a good choice.

in regards to the prairie/twin peaks, the quote from the suzuki guy (in the atvscene.com video) was "we equal that in top speed and beat it in acceleration". also, think about it, why would suzuki put so much work into a quad that isn't as good as another quad in their line up? but of course, we always have to wait and see.

Here is some more good info. On pics 14 and 15 below, you'll see that it's really easy to remove the feature that makes it mandatory to pull the brake handle in to start it.

Start without Holding Brake 1
Start without Holding Brake 2

The teal colored piece is the trigger that gets activated when you pull the brake handle. There is a little black plasitc sleeve that is removed with one small screw to override this. It took 15 seconds to do it. You'll notice the hole in the brake handle where the plastic trigger sleeve was located.

Also, I took another picture of the rear snorkel and tried harder to be a better photographer. Hope this helps you guys. Please note it is U shaped at the top and sucks from the bottom up. It's up there pretty high!!

Rear Snorkel

I also took a shot of the rear A arm assembly. Looks pretty tough, no?

Rear A arm

I now have 8 miles on this thing and the more I ride it the more I like it. As the engine is breaking in, it seems like there is a killer midrange. I have heard people saying the bottom end isn't as strong as the Prairie's etc.. And, to be honest, I don't know if it is. But, I will say this. The hit doesn't seem as hard, partly, in my mind, because the rear IRS is squatting when you take off. With the Prairie, there is some brutal tire spin on takeoff. This bike seems like it might be taking off as fast, but it just seems a little smoother.

Also, I've come to the conclusion that with some 6 ply's, this think will be even more stable. I had my neighbor rock it back and forth and the majority of the sway is coming from the soft sidewalls of the tires flexing.

All I have to say is the more I ride it, the more I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats a great picture of the rear snorkel, in the firs tone you took, i didn't know what i was looking at. but when i saw the second one i was like "oooooohhhhhh thats what it was". its cuz i was expecting a grizz style one and didn't see it. thats alot better than a grizz style snorkel.

On your new rear snorkel pic, u have any idea what that little tube is tied to the chasis. also what is that little side extension on the bottom. I tried circling it on paint but i dont know how to upload pics on connection.
