is the vinson really too big?
#1
OK, so me and my friend went the suzuki dealer today and this guy was saying that my friend was too small for a vinson and all this other stuff. My friend is 4,11 95 pounds. My theory is, if he really paces himself and spends the fist few weeks babying it and leanering his limitations and the vehicles power he will do fine. He is responsible and all but wat do u guys think..... O yea were trying to convince his dad that with some guidelines and pratcice he will do fine and grow into the quad. He obviously didn;t have his growth spurt yet so why go throught the trouble of getting another quad and only in a few years seling it which isn;t easy. we'll also be riding on easy falt terraina nd some tenical trials .Tell me wat u think.

i got my vinny when i was 13, i think it was, i can never have enough power. he will be fine, learn the limitations(he will have more than the bike)and he will be just fine. the vinson is one of the best imho, and thats why i have stuck with it, through everything, its never left me stranded, and has towed other big bores, places that only the vinny would go.

im 16, but just to say this i have been riding for awhile, and also have that rocketship rm. ALL of my work has been done myself, i started doing things for friends, word got out that i do good work, and the next thing i knew i was working on a bunch of quads. to be honest with you, i will keep my vinson for ever and im serious about that others will tell you that to. if my motor needs to be rebuilt then i will go 581 fst kit. its something i will never part with or out grow, i have got it to the point of pulling wheelies and being able to ride them, and im not done there
the stock dunflops are just that terrible, the stock skids seem fine no problems with constant rock hounding, i put on a-arm gaurds to protect the cv joints, because i have ripped a few 4 or 5 boots, from deep mud riding and water.
HERES THE TRUTH
i have sunk this thing underwater 3 times, its been to heck and back, i maintain it better than most people maintain there house, and car, i have the perogative that if you take care of it it will last....

vinson HANDS DOWN. i have a sp500 h.o and the thing is unreliable as all he!!, it constantly brakes belts(heelclicker fixed that) doesnt run that good. and is slower than vinny, rides better tho. i will give up things for relibility.

I just like to start off saying that the vinson LE is a great quad. All grade A materials, Inpetribul shocks, excellent jumping also. The colors are amazing. odnt worry bout what any one else says the vinson is a good quad with a decent MSRP.No problems wiht the ground clearence the skid plates do well.Although there is no front bumper however a spare hundred can get you that. The Keihin T Cvk36 carbuerator is great for quick excelleration. Dont worry bout your freind i am 15 and i just got it and 5'1 and i handle the machince perectly out on my farm. Tell your freind he'll be fine.

first off fenderbenderwilly thanx for the good long response, it had good info. Just to give u a little backround ive been riding longer than my friend and am gettin a quad soon. He has went riding with me and a few other friends many times and is starting to get all of the basics down. I think why waste time and effort gettin a smaller quad and then just ending up selling it. I think if he just spends a few months or so just practicing with the vinson and learning his capablitltys he will do fine.. O yea by the way his dad wants to ride too. He has ridden a sportsman 500, 700 and a trailblazer and other quads. do u think this is a good idea or wat. please respond back. Correct me if im worng but from wat i remember utilitys dont have violent powerbands. im not saying there not powerful but comapred to a banshee's powerband or a sports.
