Default Z400 Aftermarket Air Filter Adapters

The Pro-Flow units can be had with either a foam or K&N filter. The Alba's are only available for a K&N.

I am in the process of converting my filter from an Alba K&N to a Pro-Flow foam. I had hoped that the Pro-Flow filter would fit on the Alba adapter, but it isn't deep enough to be completely secure. The Pro-Flow filter pops in place on the Pro-Flow adapter, and is therefore a much better fit. I really like the Pro-Flow foam filters (made by UNI). They have a wire insert to keep from collapsing, and are (weirdly!) shaped to fit the cramped Z airbox. It also includes a wrap of very course foam that you can use for extreme conditions.

Way better than stock!

Just to add to the list.

Noss Machine Also makes a Filter Adapter, They sell both a UNI Foam Filter, as well as a K&N filter. The prices arn't bad, but if you are going to get a K&N filter, and plan on getting the outerwares as well, you might as well buy the Alba Adapter because it comes with the outerwares.

wow.

I have seen V8's with smaller intake's....

I don't think i'll be needing anything that big. I can't even see that small of an engine using that much volume of air!? I also don't see how that tube with a larger filter will flow any more air then an Adapter that is the same size opening as the Carb intake... *Shrug*

the problem is the tube that goes to the airbox.
