Default Eiger drive belt slipping

My drive belt on my Eiger auto sometimes slips on initial take-off. The belt makes a squawking noise just as it starts to move. From what I understand the Suzuki belts are engaged full time unlike some other brands. I suspect the belt is loose, but I'm not positive. Is there anything else that would make this noise ? If it is the belt , how do I tighten it ? I have read about removing shims but I am not sure how to do this. I have sevice manual on order at the ATV shop, so I hope all this is explained in the manual. Thanks BCBrian

My '04 Eiger auto would do this on very limited occassions. When I took it in to the dealer at 200 miles for service I told them that sometimes(once again very limited) the belt would slip when accelarating from a stop. They checked it, no H2O in the case and it was adjusted properly. They said it is just something that may happen and not to worry about it. Since it rarely does it I'm not too concerned.
