Default How To Re-Pack A 2-Stroke Muffler

hey all, i got an 86' LT and i figured to re-pack the muffler. It has an FMF Powercore. I disconected it and took the small blots out. After they were out, it was still stuck in place, am i supposed to slide the center out or something? also, if i take the silencer insert out, it will be louder, will it be bad for the motor though? Any help is great, thanks.

Its very easy, just go buy a package of FMF silencer packing. Take the Aluminum shell off of the pipe. Tear the old crusty stuff off and warp the new packing around the center. If it doesnt hold in there just wrap tape around it to hold it in shape. Slide it back in and tighten the bolts.

No offense to you, but unless you live in the middle or nowhere or STRICTLY race, anyone who removes the packing to just make it "real loud" is a complete moron. All that does is **** people around you off.
