Stock LT-Z400 Tire Pressire Question...
Hey all,
I got my LT-Z400 service manual and was looking threw it, the manual says the Tire pressure should be 4-6 PSI, But the tires themselves say 36 PSI
I have filled mine to 30PSI, should they really be only 4-6PSI?? That isn't very much pressure, I would figure it was just a missprint, but when i go to sites like www.douggust.com they are talking about MX tires being a "Higher" pressure of 10PSI, so that makes me wonder if the stock tires are really suppose to be 4-6PSI!?!?!
If so, why such low pressure? What happens if you do go with higher pressure?
The only reasonable answer i can think of is because of MX jumps if you use 36PSI you would probably blow out the tires when you land, however that's what your shocks are for..
So maybe i am just missing something!?
Thanks for the input,
-ThaChad

Must be a mis-print or goofed up translation in the manual. The tires are low-pressure tires and should not see pressures around 30 psig unless you are mounting them and seating the bead on the rim. Riding with higher pressure could cause rim or tire failure and will affect how the suspension handles choppy surfaces.

Stock LT-Z400 Tire Pressire Question...
7 psi front and 4 psi rear
fronts are stock dunlops, rear are GBC shredders
i found for where i ride and the terrain i ride that it works perfectly
if im at a track i will bump the front up a few psi and the backs will go up to around 7
if im trying to do a huge burnout then i will put like 20 psi cuz it keeps the tires hard and they don't flex and will just spin til i let off the throttle
