Default Z400 Snow Tires-please help

Hey guys, well its almost that time of the year again and I just got my 2005 Z400 and I cant wait to ride in the snow, I was just wondering if you guys can give me some tips to riding in the snow and recommend some good snow tires for it. I know sport quads arent the best in snow, but its soo much fun doing donuts and just sliding sideways everywhere. Well thanx for all your help guys, I appreciate it!

most tires ive seen advertised as snow tires are paddle tires

i think the main difference is the paddles are stiffer and thicker, so incase u get through the snow to hard ground or road it doesn't chew the tires up as easily

Maxis 4snows or Zippers. The Zippers have a flexable sidewall and tread width, so the expand as the rpms increase, which helps you not have to shift up and down as much, as you spin.

Hey guys, thanks for all your suggestions. Mbrooks I was just wondering if you have some links where I could get to a site where I could look at those tires and probably buy a set. If you could give me a site or put a link up, that would be great.

i got big 22" by 12.5" Spider Trax for snow. Their larger with and height is great for traction, and the have small center paddles with knobbed side for good slide controll. Their also pretty cheep. try em out.

My friend had a raptor with pretty bald stock tires, so he took 1" screws and drilled them into the treads of the tire and it worked great, but when u hit pavement it sparks like bastard
