longest wheelie
dumb question but here goes. Hopefully someone with a Z250 will see this and reply.
I am new to atv'ing and I recently bought my first bike a 04 z250. Since I have the auto clutch, does this make it harder or even impossible to hold long wheelies? Or is it truly a matter of finding that balance point? I can wheelie like mad in first but it only lasts about 10 feet and I get scared to go over too far or I shift into second and it plops down forward.

King 700,
I can't wheelie my Busa at all. My older GSXR 1000 maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile or so, but the Busa I have some mental block with the heavy front end on this bike. I can do a dirt bike for a long ways and a quad until I run out of room and need to turn. Are you snapping the throttle in second gear to get it to lift smooth or do you clutch it up?

I would say about 100ft.
Shumway, all you have to do is not be afraid to fall back. You wont flip over, just the grab bar will hit. Just go somewhere where there is soft grass and give it a shot. It doesnt hurt if you fall back. Also to do it in second, just find a small bump, goose the throttle while you slam your but on the seat. Hope that helps.

i have a z250 and its a great bike i can wheelie about 100-300 feet what u have to do is press down on the handlebars when ur in second then give it gas and after 1 or 2 seconds pull up hard and then play with the throttle ....u wont go fast so u have to keep messin with it to stay up......i first learned in first gear but now i can pop it up in second easily on flat ground with no bump ....so start in 2nd and do it ...just gas it wait a second then pull up hard and lean back
