Default Can you add a clutch to a ltz 250 2006

I have a ltz 250 2006 which is semi automatic transmission. I was wondering if you can add a clutch to use for wheelies and picking up the front end. If you can add a clutch what parts what I need to do so thanks

Lol. I know this post is 6 months old but here goes. As far as I know semi auto ATV transmissions are very similar to the manual clutch ones. I actually converted my 1987 Suzuki Lt230 autoclutch to a full manual clutch. So in an auto clutch transmission there two clutches, one is a centrifugal clutch to disengage the engine at idle or when the engine is slowing down, the other is a standard clutch but it is activated by the footshifter, not a clutch handle.

So when you shift the engine is disengaged from the transmission. All I did on my quad was take off the centri. clutch springs so its permanently engaged. Then I ran a cable through the case to the mechanism which operated the standard clutch. Works fine, it is a bit grabby and feels like a detent type action rather than a standard clutch, but it works like a normal clutch. Only issue I am having with it is the clutch will stick open occasionally because it lost the return action after I took the footshifter/clutch linkage out. It just needs a return spring.

In short yes you should be able to conv your LTZ250 to a manual clutch but I doubt anyone sells a kit like that. I could be wrong but its something youd probably have to make and design yourself. But its really not that complicated
